Showjumper Tim Stockdale is recovering in hospital after fracturing his neck in a fall.

He was injured on Monday, 17 October, while trying a young horse in north Wales and taken to Shrewsbury hospital with concussion.

Tim was later found to have two fractures in his neck, and was being transferred to the spinal unit at Oswestry today.

Earlier today he was able to post a message on Twitter to reassure fans, writing: “I am ok apart from the two fractures in my neck. I will know more after today’s move to Oswestry spinal unit. I have movement and feeling.”

We’ll let you know when we hear more, but for now everyone at Your Horse is wishing Tim a speedy recovery.

Daisy Berkeleys horse, Spring Along has died today at the Gatcombe Horse Trials. The 18 year old Irish Bred horse died of a heart attack on the cross county course. Spring Along was a great character, his consistency cross county and his occassional naughtiness in the dressage. He was one of the most popular event horses in the last ten years. I am sure he will be sadly missed by all.
